Huntleys Point Wharf is located just to the west of the Gladesville Bridge on Parramatta River. Given its position close to Gladesville, Hunters Hill, Chiswick and other west Sydney neighbourhoods, Huntleys Point Wharf has become a popular pick up spot for groups based mostly in these areas. It's also classified as an "independent access" wharf by Transport for NSW, so most groups with special access requirements will be fine. Choosing Huntleys Point Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up

While tourists or Sydney first-timers are unlikely to choose Huntleys Point Wharf given its distance from downtown Sydney and the main sights, it's exactly the kind of wharf that will appeal to locals looking for a quiet bay to take a dip in. Although it's not as stacked with amenities as some other nearby wharfs, it does have great accessibility and has undergone a facelift as part of Transport for NSW's general overhaul of Sydney Harbour wharfs that started back in the early 2010s.

Getting to Huntleys Point Wharf

Huntleys Point Wharf is a stop on the F3 ferry service between Circular Quay and Parramatta, so if anyone in your group is coming in from further afield than the surrounding neighbourhoods, they might want to start there. There are also a number of bus services (536, 501 and 507, among others) that stop within a 2-minute walk of the wharf, making an overland public transport arrival less of a hassle than at other wharfs. There's also a fair bit of nearby parking in the dedicated wharf car parks, although spaces are still limited and availability can't be guaranteed on busy days.

Local amenities

This is definitely Huntleys Point Wharf's weak spot. There isn't much in the way of shopping in the surrounding area, so make sure you have all the food, sunblock, ice, booze and other supplies you'll need for your Sydney Harbour cruise before you arrive!
