Longueville Wharf
Longueville Wharf
Although it's a smaller wharf that's located a far hike from the CBD, Longueville Wharf is likely to be an attractive choice for groups based mostly out in north-west Sydney in areas such as Lane Cove, Chatswood and Artarmon. As access to Longueville can be somewhat restricted in terms of vessel and group size, when hire your boat through Ucruise Sydney, be sure to ask our team if you have any special requirements that need to be met. We'll be happy to advise on the closest wharf that's suitable. Of course, the safest option if you can arrange it is to select a wharf closer to Sydney CBD such as the King Street Wharfs in Darling Harbour.
Choosing Longueville Wharf for Your Cruise Pick Up
Longueville Wharf is probably not the best wharf for tourists, who'll most likely be based in more central parts of the harbour, but it can be a great choice for smaller groups from north-west Sydney. Lane Cove River is a beautiful spot in the Harbour as well, making Longueville Wharf a more than pleasant place to start your cruise from. With nearby bridges in short supply, however, (added to the fact that there's only one ferry that stops here) it might be limited to only local residents purely from an accessibility standpoint.
Getting to Longueville Wharf
Like most other wharfs in Sydney Harbour, Longueville can be accessed fairly easily on public transport from the surrounding areas. The nearest bus stops are just a couple of minutes' walk away, but the only service is the 261. Over water, you can hop on the CCLC, but stops are fairly infrequent throughout the day. If you come to Longueville Wharf by car, bear in mind that it's surrounded by a residential area so although there will likely be on-street parking available, it might not be as close to the wharf as you'd like. At the time of writing, there were still no bike racks at Longueville Wharf.
Local amenities
As it's a mainly residential area, Longueville isn't that great for last minute supplies. We'd recommend you sort your ice, beers and grub out before you arrive to avoid any potential delays. There are a couple of nearby parks available for meeting up before the cruise as well, but don't expect to find many bars and cafés in the vicinity.
