Hamilton Island

Hamilton Island in The Whitsundays is one of Australia’s biggest inhabited Islands in the Whitsundays and most sought after holiday destinations. It’s the only Island in the Great Barrier Reef with its own commercial airport. Surrounded by pristine beaches, coral and marine life. Hamilton Island is perfect for exploring the Great Barrier Reef and the famous Whitehaven Beach.

Things To Do

One of the main beaches on Hamilton Island is called Catseye Beach offering a wide range of watersports or simply relax on the beach. Close to most of the Island's accommodation there is a free shuttle bus to some amazing activities such as snorkeling, paddle-boarding, Kayaking or sailing.  If you prefer your hand at golf, there is a beautiful golf course or enjoy some inspiring art and culture, you can be confident that Hamilton Island will have an event to suit everyone. 

Every August yachts from around the globe sail to Hamilton Island for race week, Australia’s largest offshore Keelboat regatta. Or if you are on the Island during May -November, the islands Hilly Half Marathon, Great Whitehaven Beach Run, Hamilton Island Triathlon and the Beach Ocean Swim will test athletes on every level.
